Numbers to Art allows anyone, from beginner to advanced artists and even children, to create beautiful works of art. Here are some essential tips:

Tip 1: Right lighting

Use natural daylight when possible. If not, use two daylight lamps: a floor lamp from the front right and an arm lamp from above.

Tip 2: Ideal workspace

Cover your table and floor with newspaper. For additional equipment check out our Numbers to Art accessories.

Tip 3: Apply paint evenly

Avoid uneven paint application to prevent unsightly edges.

Tip 4: Use correct colors

If you make a mistake, let it dry and paint over with the correct color.

Tip 5: Less is more

Apply thin layers of paint to avoid "paint mountains" during drying.

Tip 6: Clean brushes regularly

Rinse brushes often and wipe them on a towel. 

Tip 7: Two water containers

Use one container for rough rinsing and another for clear rinsing to prevent dried paint in the brush and bristles.

Tip 8: Choose the right frame

Optional frames can enhance your painting. Alternatively, paint over the borders.

Tip 9: Touch up accidents

Let the painting dry for a day or two, then touch up splatters with a brush or toothpick.

Tip 10: Apply varnish

A final varnish coat enhances colors and protects the painting.
